Whereas most presenters talk positively about Tokyo’s potential, I would like to talk about the dark side of Tokyo’s near future. What are the basic elements that support life in this great city called Tokyo? They are population dynamics and the stock of its infrastructure, two elements which are at present in a serious state. It is impossible to think positively about Tokyo’s future without first considering this problem.
