Whatever period it may be, there are always lots of pop songs on the theme of Tokyo. The majority are by people from the countryside who sing about their dreams, their hopes and their loneliness and their nostalgia for home. I will sing about ‘Tokyo’ rearranging lyrics from approximately 200 songs that have been sung about Tokyo at various times.
