(Dissonance of) Tokyo Time

After the Great East Japan Earthquake, not only the northeast of the country but also Tokyo suffered a temporal dissonance. However, I cannot help but feel that in daily life, as well on a political or economical level, there is growing pressure to return to the original time flow, a kind of ‘revival’ movement. What is the state of Tokyo time? Is it possible to perceive? I would like to use two dramas, ‘The Complete Manual of Evacuation – Tokyo’ (2010) and ‘Kein Licht II – Epilogue’ (2012) to try and sketch an image of the (dissonance of) Tokyo time.
